Privacy Policy
This policy applies to the SmartMDT mobile app (Android / iOS) and the SmartMDT Chrome extension.

1. Information We Collect
SmartMDT (the "Service") is designed to keep your data on your own device and in your own Google Drive. We do not run our own server or database, and we do not collect your content for ourselves. Depending on the features you use, the following may be involved:
- Your content — the goals, tasks (to-dos), progress, and settings you create in the app. This is stored on your device and, if you enable sync, in your own Google Drive.
- Google account authentication — when you use Google Drive sync, the Service uses Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) and receives an access token so it can read and write its own files in your Google Drive.
- Google account email — when you sign in for Drive sync, the app reads your Google account email address and stores it only on your device to show which account is connected. It is not transmitted to us or any third party.
- Google Drive file metadata — used to track sync state for files this app creates in your Drive.
- Advertising data (mobile app) — when ads are shown, the mobile app uses Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising identifier and related technical/usage data to serve and measure ads.
Information kept only on your device is not transmitted to our servers.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and maintain the Service — creating and tracking your goals and to-dos.
- To sync your data across your devices through your own Google Drive.
- When ads are enabled, to display and measure advertising through Google AdMob.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Storage & Security
- Mobile app — your content is stored locally on your device, and Google authentication tokens are kept in the device's secure app storage.
- Chrome extension — authentication tokens are stored only in the browser's
chrome.storage.local and are never transmitted to any server of ours.
- Google Drive — synced content stays in your own Google Drive; we do not copy it to any server.
- All network communication is encrypted via HTTPS.
4. Advertising Mobile app
The SmartMDT mobile app may display advertisements through Google AdMob. When ads are shown, AdMob may collect and process the device advertising identifier and device/usage information to deliver and measure ads (personalized or non-personalized).
Google's handling of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can reset or limit your advertising ID at any time in your device's settings.
5. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on the following Google services, each governed by Google's Privacy Policy:
- Google Sign-In and Google Drive API — for optional data sync.
- Google AdMob — for advertising in the mobile app (when enabled).
We do not otherwise share, sell, or rent your information to third parties.
6. Your Choices & Data Deletion
You can remove your data and revoke access at any time:
- Mobile app — uninstall the app to delete data stored on your device; delete the app's files or folder in your Google Drive to remove synced data.
- Chrome extension — remove the extension to delete its locally stored data.
- Revoke the Service's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Reset or limit your advertising ID in your device's settings.
7. Children's Privacy
SmartMDT is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country/region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
