Privacy Policy

1. Overview

WoodCalc (the "App") is designed to work fully offline and to keep your data on your own device. The App requires no account and no sign-in, and we do not operate any server or database that stores your personal information.

• Your settings and saved projects — units, language, theme, calculator inputs, and saved project files are stored only on your device. They are never transmitted to us.
• Advertising data — when banner ads are shown, the App uses Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising identifier and related technical/usage data to serve and measure ads (see Section 3).
• Purchase data — the one-time "Remove Ads" purchase is processed entirely by Google Play (see Section 4).

Wood species images in the App are AI-generated and provided for visual reference only.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide the calculators and wood species database — all computation happens on your device.
• When ads are enabled, to display and measure advertising through Google AdMob.
• To verify and restore your "Remove Ads" purchase through Google Play.

We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App may display banner advertisements through Google AdMob. When ads are shown, AdMob may collect and process the device advertising identifier and device/usage information to deliver and measure ads (personalized or non-personalized).

For users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, the App shows a consent message (Google User Messaging Platform) before serving ads, and ads are requested only in accordance with your choice.

Google's handling of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can reset or limit your advertising ID at any time in your device's settings.

You can permanently remove all ads with a one-time in-app purchase (see Section 4).

4. In-App Purchase ("Remove Ads")

The App offers a single one-time purchase that permanently removes all banner ads. The payment is processed entirely by Google Play; we never receive or store your payment details (such as card numbers).

• Your purchase entitlement is verified through Google Play and remembered on your device.
• If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore the purchase with the "Restore purchase" button using the same Google account.

5. Storage & Security

• All of your content (settings, inputs, saved projects) is stored locally on your device — nothing is uploaded to any server of ours.
• Network access is used only for serving ads and processing purchases, and all such communication is encrypted via HTTPS.
• Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

6. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following Google services, each governed by Google's Privacy Policy:

• Google AdMob — for banner advertising (until removed by purchase).
• Google Play Billing — for the one-time "Remove Ads" purchase and its restoration.

We do not otherwise share, sell, or rent your information to third parties.

7. Your Choices & Data Deletion

• Delete your data — uninstall the App; all settings and saved projects on the device are removed.
• Remove ads — purchase the one-time "Remove Ads" option in the App.
• Advertising ID — reset or limit your advertising ID in your device's settings.
• Consent (EEA/UK/CH) — you can change your ad-consent choice when the consent message is shown.

8. Children's Privacy

WoodCalc is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country/region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
